EEO COUNSELING
Counseling is an essential part of the EEO Complaint system which is governed by federal law and regulations. The Counselor’s primary role is to facilitate resolution at the informal stage. The opportunity for informal resolution is an important feature of the counseling process. The Counselor plays a vital role in a process that ultimately ensures prompt and efficient processing of discrimination complaints.
EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
For communication to be effective, it is important to understand how the people we interact with may interpret our message. Inasmuch as we obtain information through our senses, it is recommended that our communication include aspects of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic (sensory) language to appeal to all listeners.
